Alertus Consulting is a South African based technology and business consulting practice focused on structured project delivery, operational improvement, and practical technology transformation.

Founded by Chris Sayer, Alertus Consulting brings together enterprise level project management experience, technical delivery expertise, and a hands on understanding of real world business operations. The consultancy was built around a simple principle — technology projects should create measurable business value, not unnecessary complexity.

Chris Sayer

Co-Owner | Consultant

Chris brings over 15 years of international experience across investment banking, enterprise IT, ERP implementations, and technical project managemnt — working in demanding, high performance environments in the UK and South Africa.

Chris spent 12 years at Citigroup in the UK, leading the support team for the investment banking division within a global financial institution. This role required operating in highly regulated, time-critical environments where accuracy, resilience, and clear processes were non-negotiable.

Following this, Chris worked for Telereal Trillium, one of the UK’s largest privately owned property investment and development companies, where he was directly involved in the implementation of an enterprise property management ERP system (MRI Horizon). This experience provided hands on exposure to large scale ERP delivery, business process alignment, and operational optimisation.

Chris also worked at IT Dynamics, South Africa, delivering ERP implementations within the FMCG sector, utilising the QAD Enterprise Resource Planning system, gaining further experience across supply chain, operations, and enterprise systems integration.

Anne Sayer

Co-Owner | Senior Project Manager

Anne is a qualified Senior Project Manager, accredited through the Project Management Institute (PMI), with extensive experience delivering complex software, technology, and enterprise services projects within large, fast-moving organisations.

Her early career was spent at Dimension Data, where she worked across financial control, service coordination, and technical project support roles. During this time, Anne gained strong exposure to enterprise IT environments, procurement, cost control, and the coordination of multi-disciplinary technical teams delivering networking, security, and infrastructure services.

Anne later joined Derivco, one of South Africa’s leading software development companies, where she progressed from Project Administrator to Project Manager and ultimately Senior Project Manager. At Derivco, she led complex, cross-border software development programmes spanning South Africa and Europe, operating within highly regulated environments and managing multiple teams, dependencies, and stakeholders simultaneously.

Her background is firmly rooted in structured delivery, governance, and execution control ensuring that projects move from concept to completion with clarity, accountability, and minimal risk.
